In 1980, Suyash Charitable Trust principal trustee Yashwant alias Mohanrao Ghaisas and Smita Ghaisas took up the guardianship of a few students from a hostel managed by the Vanavasi Kalyan Ashram, Akola in Ahmednagar district. It was then that they came to understand the terrible economic disparities that existed in society. They realized that the students, despite receiving a good education and cultural upbringing, were incapable of transforming their lives for the better.
That is the reason why the Ghaisas couple established Suyash to make Vanvasis financially independent through the medium of agriculture and curb migration due to disparities Through the vigorous and relentless working of 45 + years Suyash developed a successful model of 10 points which could be used as a proven process to take a village from below poverty to above poverty line in mere 3 to 4 years.
